Wine Pleasures Teams Up With CataVins To Create Buyer Meets Catalonian Cellar

Canada and USA will be well represented

From 10th to 15th November 2010, a small group of international wine buyers will be able to participate in the 5th edition of the Wine Pleasures Reverse Trade Mission to Spain which includes participation in the very first edition of a new Workshop`focusing on Wines from Catalunya: Buyer meets CATALONIAN Cellar followed by visits to some of the following Catalonian wine regions: Empordà, Pla de Bages, Costers del Segre,  Penedès, Cava, Priorat, Montsant, Terra Alta & Conca de Barberà.

The Workshop (10 – 12 November) is organised  in

collaboration with Catavins (Fira Sabadell) The Workshops deliberately precedes the trade event CataVins Sabadell (13- 16 November) , now in it’s 3rd year and targets mainly the final consumer. By creating a Workshop event, producers are assured of meeting potential international importers, national distributors, retailers and the on-trade  and most importantly the final wine consumer. The delegate’s work agenda includes workshop meetings, visits to bodegas, as well as tastings, wine and traditional food matching & seminars led by well – known wine authorities.

Winery Visit Programme for Importers

This type of marketing activity has already proved its worth in the past four editions for both buyers and bodegas as an efficient means of establishing business relationships in a one-stop, low cost event.

Earlier this year, 12 companies participated in the 4th Wine Pleasures Reverse Trade Mission to Spain from the following countries:  Canada, Puerto Rico, Germany, Denmark, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, UK, & USA.

Interested Wine Importers should complete an Application Form.

Early applications are recommended due to the limited number of places. Closing date is 31st August 2010 or as soon as places are filled.

Dates for Wine Pleasures Workshops 2011 have been set. Buyer meets Iberian Cellar (23 – 25 February 2011) and the International Organic Workshop (23 – 25 February 2011)
